A note from your Guide,
Danielle Lyles Barton
I am a bridge between worlds. My work rests at the intersection of science and Spirit, rooted in ancestral womb work, womanism, reproductive justice, and transformation through education. I am an alchemist, tending to life’s most vulnerable and sacred transitions—birth, loss, and rebirth. As a Postpartum Specialist with a deep reverence for women, I stand for the mothers, the ones who hold the generations (literally or metaphorically).
As the visionary behind Blooming All Over and a certified birth worker with formal degrees in Psychology, Biology, and Public Health, I have spent the past 15 years studying and weaving together holistic wellness practices that nurture the whole being, rather than simply treating symptoms. I stand at the forefront of the postpartum revolution, inviting Black and Brown families to reclaim what has always been theirs: sacred care, deep rest, and the right to heal fully.
My journey has been intentionally global. I spent four transformative years living in South Korea, immersing myself in eastern medicine, followed by several months in Tanzania, deepening my connection to the land and ancestral practices. I furthered my studies in traditional healing under the renowned Queen Afua, whose teachings left an indelible mark on my work. Teachers and birth workers like Latham Thomas, Summayah Franklin, and Panquetzani have shaped the evolution of my care philosophy—layered, intentional, and deeply holistic.
This path of mine has been blessed by sacred encounters with Afro-Colombian midwives in Buenaventura, Colombia—a reminder that my calling is ancestral. My hands have been guided by those who recognize postpartum care as a sacred rite of passage, and I have traveled the world to sit at the feet of the wise ones. From midwives and herbalists in Guatemala to womb healers and elders in Thailand, I have devoted her life to this work.
Whether hosting international retreats or offering courses that walk people through their own healing, I curate spaces where Black folks and families can rest and restore. Designed to nourish and realign the Spirit, my offerings feel less like programs and more like portals. This same energy is carried deeply and intentionally into my postpartum work. While everyone else is thinking about the baby, I am thinking about the mother—ensuring she feels deeply seen, held, and honored. As The MUTHA of Postpartum Healing, I am here to teach you how to do the same.
“Danielle has an indescribable way of opening herself up to be a vessel fully for Spirit to move through her. She channels God and her maternal lineage of healers and Divine feminine power so gracefully and although it may appear to flow naturally, it is with so much intentional care, self-work, and ongoing healing that this is so.”

Danielle went above and beyond in each session we had. Her passion for this work is clear; she is someone who does this work not as a job, but as a calling.
The beauty of this practice is that it is forever and ongoing…
from the students
“Thank you so much, Danielle, for being a carrier of this medicine, of this wisdom—for carrying it with so much integrity. The wild thing about all of this is I sent a prayer up for me to receive a genuine teacher, and within not even two weeks, I saw your post. Off rip, I knew that ancestors were involved. All throughout this weekend I saw, I remembered, I felt, I healed.”

“This was so much more than a class. Danielle is so much more than a teacher. I came here to learn the closing of the bones, and a mirror was held up to me literally every step of the way in caring for myself deeper as I care for others. It was a very transformational class. I am just so thankful that I was able to take part in this experience and so grateful for Danielle and her wisdom and her just standing in her purpose.”

“I'm so grateful that I found this. It was certainly the medicine I needed to nourish my own heart as a doula. It was everything that I was looking for from a reputable, well-educated teacher. The hands-on skills were a full culmination and beautiful space to truly practice what we learned—and to truly embody it. There was support and guidance, but also space to flow freely—which is so appreciated because it helps us to find our way in the medicine that we want to offer as well. The food was top tier and the community that Danielle calls in is warm and inviting and full of magic. I'm deeply grateful and I can not wait to share this with my community.”

“This is my second Skill Drill and to see the exponential growth from the first one, to see the powerful medicine carriers that this is calling is absolutely incredible. There is so much cultural remembrance that is happening. There are so many ways for us to come into what's next in our traditions. Our work is so timeless, and for those of us who are called to steward that timelessness, it's such a blessing to be able to show up. It's such a blessing to be witnessed and to be mirrored. I can't wait to see more multi-spirited folks, more non-binary folks, more trans folks come to the Skill Drill. Because there are things that we need to remember that are important for the whole village.”
